PlantSphere Tall Extensions add 4 full inches of growing depth to your Bootstrap Farmer 3.3" pots. That is nearly doubling the root space. For a tomato that has outgrown its pot and still has nowhere to go, this is the difference between a stressed-out seedling and one that keeps building roots until transplant day.
Why Depth Matters
Here is the thing about tomatoes. They root along their stems. When you bury a leggy tomato deeper, it does not just survive — it thrives. The buried stem develops new roots, and you end up with a stronger plant than if you had transplanted on time. The Tall Extension gives you the depth to bury that extra stem and let the plant do its thing.

The Standard extension is our everyday go-to — it is what we reach for first. The Tall extension comes out when we are running behind schedule, or when a batch of seedlings has gotten away from us. It is the rescue plan that turns an overgrown problem into a deeper, stronger root system.

A Note About Tray Inserts
Tray inserts are especially important with the Tall Extension. Adding 4 inches of height plus soil makes the pots significantly top-heavy — pick up the tray and they are going over. Bootstrap Farmer 1020 tray inserts hold 18 pots securely so you can move your trays without a disaster. We consider them essential with this extension.
